Carpenters are part of my Life history....I grew up listening to them, loving them and their lovely songs....I miss them a lot....Karen was called back so early...God calls the best ones and she was one of them, for sure...She had a wonderful voice...

Very sadly, Karen died of anorexia. She died in a hospital and her funeral procession traveled across the city of Downey, CA, where she had done most of her 'growing up' (teenage years, etc.) My then 'hubby' worked in a music store in Downey and the funeral proceeded past his store. It was hours before he was able to make it home, the traffic was so tangled and thick ..... such an incredibly sad death.....
