Cow made it to the udder side! WATONGA, OK (CNN) - A news helicopter rescued a baby cow that was stranded on ice. Amazing Rescue - Helicopter Downwash Blows Stranded Calf Off Of Frozen Lake To Safety
A rancher in Watonga, WI, called KWTV news for help Monday after his calf got stuck on the frozen pond.
The helicopter pilot came up with an unusual solution: Use the wind from the helicopter's rotor blades to push the calf to safety.
At one point, the animal fell through some broken ice, but it was eventually able to get back on land.
This is the second time the news helicopter pilot has helped save a stranded animal. A few years ago, he received national recognition when he used the helicopter to save a deer
