Film critic god Roger Ebert gave this movie a slightly positive review. Well he has given movies I like bad reviews and movies I think are horrible good reviews so I don't trust his criticisms.

@Emehlemehleigh This is probably a bad example since this movie sucks, but most movies don't follow the book because they are two different media. What works for the book might not work for the movie so they have to change things around. Even critically acclaimed movies based on books like Jurassic Park and Harry Potter change a lot of details

Not a bad film really. The premise and cheese factor make it one of my favorite Sci-Fi films.
