@X3ona Actually, most fans consider Tidus to have been inspired by Shuyin. Shuyin was very much a romantic hero, who sacrificed himself for his lover. Tidus has a lot of similar personality traits, and looks a lot like Shuyin. That's probably why Yuna was able to take Lenne's form so easily, they were connected by their same type of love... kinda?

@FFQueen92 I see your point but It actually never fully explains the dream in itself. We really actually don't know if he may be a repeat from the past. I do however know that Maechen himself has seen Zanerkand in his prime days

you know I just had a little light bulb in my head...Shuyin and Lenne were from the same time period as Tidus. But died in the war, right? Shuyin was a blitz ace? Maybe Tidus is the recreation of Shuyin in the dream? (haha I am just babbling now.)

1. He never returned to Zanarkand to die there.
2. His Zanarkand was running on a similar timeline, it's "Zanarkand if it was never destroyed" so in the 1000 years of dreaming people were born and they died. He was never really from the past.
