  • It seems no flare? or the flare to late.

  • With my experience with the CH-7 and Mini-500 helicopter, I found that although the CH-7 rotorblade airfoil will create a little more lift per horsepower, it is not as good as the airfoil like in the Mini-500 for all around performance, which includes autorotation. It takes more altitude and airspeed in the CH-7 to autorotate than in the Mini-500, and the pilot could not gain back his RPM after an engine out. I elected to design the Mini-500 with better autorotation, and sacrifice some lift..

  • WTF! Pitch attitude! Obviously this aircraft has a low inertia rotor system, but Jesus. 65 knot attitude for even the R22. That was looked like a Vne attitude, I'm sure he had NO RPM left.

  • Yeah , What fettersbuiltco said!
