I miss Ostad Meshkatian. Over the years his music always brought special emotion to my heart. If someone has time - please translate the poem and post so viewers who so not understand Persian language can appreciate this piece even more.

Singer Ali Rostamian and Ostad Asghar Bahari have a beautiful informal collaboration posted on youtube. I fell in love with Meshkatian's instrumental version of this tasnif on his CD "Lahze Didar" . It is wonderful to finally hear the tasnif with vocal. Unfortunately my Farsi is very very limited - still it is a pleasure to hear this version ! Thanks for posting !

This is one of the best arrangements of an old song by composer Akbar Mohseni. I wish a better singer would have been chosen for the song. Master Meshkatian will be remebered forever by all Iranians.
