Orthograde Retreatment Redux

In their systematic review in Int J Oral Maxillofac Implants, Iqbal & Kim, concluded that the decision to treat a tooth endodontically or replace it with an Implant must be based on factors others than the treatment outcomes of the procedures themselves. Both non-surgical root canal therapy followed by an appropriate restoration and single-tooth implants are excellent treatment modalities for the treatment of compromised teeth. I don't really know much about implants but when it comes to endodontic orthograde retreatment, the prognosis is based on the ability to negotiate and disinfect the entire root canal system. Challenging retreatment cases need Passion, Patience and Persistence (the 3Ps).Practicing enough will give you the skill to manage even more challenging cases.
