Got one for Xmas, image quality outdoors is amazing, but no image stabilization (which is noticeable in this movie) makes it useless. I returned it. Panasonic, Sony and Kodak have HD capabilities in movie modes of their small cameras. Can't take still shots with the Flip.

another thing ive heard is that it can only record for 60 minutes maybe less in full HD

I wouldn't get this to record soccer games.
The 720p Quality is great for the price, but you don't get that many features.
For sports you wan't something with a decent zoom on it, and the Flip only has a 2x.
Spend a little more and go for a something with a larger zoom, probably won't be HD but much better then the MinoHD. It's still a great camera, but more for videos for Youtube and capturing things on the spot.
