@MADdwarfWorkshop: Sir Ian Mckellen had actually read The Hobbit decades before Peter Jackson started the production of the movie, so I guess he' s been a Tolkien fan for quite a while.

@MADdwarfWorkshop Christopher Tolkien is not an actor...And it shouldn't matter if you are a Tolkien fan or not as long as you play the part to the best of your ability and really bring the character to life which is what Sir Ian McKellen did.

That part was wonderful when I read it but hearing it from Christopher makes it 100x better. The only thing better would be hearing John tolkien read it.

@lazarush1980 hes one of his sons, and collected all of j.r.r Tolkien's work into publishable pieces of work, ie silmarillion. Tolkien was unable to publish some of his books before he passed away.
