Unexpectedly applying a Baroque template to her opera, post-minimalist composer Elodie Lauten set a libretto by Michael Andre about the mysterious disappearance of 60s conceptualist Ray Johnson, who is metaphorically staged as the mythical Orfeo with a slight name modification: Orf-Ray-O. Elodie Lauten has had 26 releases to-date on a variety of labels both independent and major. The music's uniqueness eludes existing tags, brimming with electronics, multimedia, custom and Baroque instruments, elements of rock and even her own raga-trained voice. Lauten was called by the New York Times "a fixture of the New York scene". Her previous opera Waking in New York setting the poetry of Allen Ginsberg was included on Sequenza21's list of 100 most influential works of the last three decades.

I've been enjoying your music recently. I just discovered it after stumbling on a writing of yours on composition. I found it very interesting. I liked your ideas on composing through a matrix. If you have the time, it would be cool to see a video explanation of those ideas with maybe some audio samples to go along.
