ESPAÑOL: En 1969, con un himen imperforado la cirugía se realizaba haciendo incisiones como los rayos de una bicicleta y se quitaba toda la membrana himenal, desflorando a la paciente con esa malformación congénita de los genitales. Hoy en día la cirugía es mínima, protege el himen y se puede utilizar la AMEU o aspiración manual endo uterina para evitar extirpar el hímen, obtienéndose mejores resultados.
