I always enjoy the way dancers interact in Dani Kuepper's choreography like parts of a graceful Calder mobile, but this show is a departure for her and the company in that the dancers contributed their own movements (hence stone soup) within the overall pattern. So this time the grand structure is populated with unique interacting treasures instead of shapes of primary color. Seth Warren-Crow an his cohorts fill the room with rich, resinous, atmospheric sound, Jan Kellog's lighting is ferocious, and the setting is appropriately fertile, innovative, and hopeful for a spring presentation.
