@JanetJJunkie66 It was part of the act for the song, she did this every night on this tour, Im sure she pulled on something emotional but it was planned and just apart of the show.

@bribrialltheway98 Um no, Tupac died Sept. 13 1996, this tour ended in 95 and this specific concert was in summer 94, Tupac was alive & well. And yea the crying was different every night. She did admit to crying over his passing when singing this song on the next tour in 98 for the 1st couple of shows, but she never said what made her cry every night on this tour.

Nah she lost to Lion King. But she gets Academy award nominated singer songwriter with her name lol. She'll win it one day for acting or music, or both, but she's gonna get it cause she's great with both.

@tross415 this could have been when tupac got shot. because he did get shot in 94 in new york and survived it. but i dont kno wat month i think it was early 94' when he got shot in the studio lobby in new york. i love janet

@JanetJJunkie66 I saw in Oparh interview she said she was very depressed that she would cry for nothing sometimes before going on stage so I think that was it. But it is the most beautiful song wih the best movie don't U think? I luv it!

@jarrylfo the emotion is part of the show, yes, but she was crying because she was not comfortable with the adoration she was receiving at that time. If you watch some of the videos from the Velvet Rope interviews, she talks about crying during the Janet tour and that this was the beginning of her depression and she had no idea at the time why she felt the way she did.
