This is a video tutorial on how to Autotune (or add other effects to) your voice in just about any program or game you can think of. The tutorial primarily focuses on the autotune plugin but you can do much more, you just need to experiment.

  • Lol I'm pretty sure that I have commented on your video before, but I have used this tutorial 3 times in a row because of formatting drives issues.

Long story short: Thank you so much, I've used this tut more than once, and it works 100%.

  • @deliciousdp12 Maybe I should make a tutorial about setting up a RAID array for you then. Haha. Only joking, thanks for the comment.

  • Sounds like you might be having trouble with installing your VST or your audio editor. You could try a different audio editor. Also try manually selecting the vst file. (You'll just have to pay attention to where it installs itself.)

  • Hey, can you help me?, I know alot of people are requesting but i really want to fool around on this gmod server with this, i swear i have done everything on here, but yet, no autotune, just my normal voice :S

Thanks for the video though its clear :D

  • @PCMau5 Here are some common issues.

    1. Input and output are setup backwards in audio editing software

    2. Windows recording setup incorrectly . For Windows 7 go to your recording tab and set Virtual Audio Cable to the default device & communication device in control panel.

    3. You're doing it wrong! Actually you have it set up correctly but did not realize that you have to sing in order to get the desired effect. Try singing a sliding scale. You may have to adjust plugin settings to your voice.

  • Holy shit this is quiet.

  • @jephwalkin Haha :P and no problem.

  • @gaminglaps Well then you know your problem is somewhere between:

    A. Mixcraft outputing the sound to virtual audio cable

    B. Virtual Audio cable being set as the windows recording device (mic)

    C. Or the program could be bypassing the windows default and selecting a recording device (Ventrilo does this I think). In that case you just have to select Virtual Audio Cable as your mic in that specific program.

Hope this helps, sounds like you are on the right track.

  • @jephwalkin hey man thanks for this tutorial really. I have set it all up but it only is played when i record it and play it backwards. like i cant do it on the fly

  • IT WILL NEVER SHOW UP IN EFFECTS. I tried putting the demo in and then also all the other shit, as well as reinstalling everything. IT WILL NOT FIND IT.

  • @jephwalkin Thanks, it was I had to sing sort of :P
