This is their best album by far.

And the most amazing part of this record is and I quote " some guys that were trying to figure out how to play music and make it different" " we didn't know anything"
-
"Slow as a glacier takes to move on through the world" This is a measure of time I cannot fathom and a beautiful lyric.

This makes me 'so high I sink to the bottom of the moon'

@Darknesssss - I would never have guessed!
-
U could have not notice this, because with the passage of time Donahue was changing his manner of singing.
-
@purplevolcano right :) David Baker was the main vocalist on the first two albums. But "Mickey-Mouse"-Jonathan Donahue sang some songs on them too. Friterring has been sung by Donahue. Song "Chasing a bee" is a good example that at the beginning there were two vocalists in Mercury Rev = Baker sings verses and Donahue choruses. After Baker's leaving the band Donahue became the only vocalist.

@Darknesssss I don't see how it can be - they had a vocalist change after the second album and this is the first album isn't it?
-
@purplevolcano that's the same vocalist here

discovered this a few days ago and have played it about 30X since. Never heard of Mercury Rev before - I like the old stuff cos I find the other vocalist too Mickey Mouse.
