How to tie a 2 hook, hi lo rig for bottom fish such as black sea bass, grouper, grunts, and snapper. It took me about 10 minutes to tie one.

  • Yea, like steel trace, you can't knot it either, so you have to crimp. This rig is good because it won't get all tangled when you're not using it. One of the reasons is because the mono is quite stiff. The hooks with the individual lines also give the fish something to pick up. Is it any good for casting? I'm guessing after you have casted, you would get the line tight, then let it slack a bit, so the top hook also sits at the bottom?

  • @dnwndls I have only used this as a vertical fishing rig, not for casting.

  • i dont like to use crimps there too visible my id just tie knots

  • @m1garand77 try tying 200# hard mono :)

  • good stuff man but u should show the outcome of the rig.
