Edit: I have sold this fan. It's no longer mine.

I picked this up at the place I call "the place that never fails" because I never walk out empty handed! Now in retrospect I have only been there 3 times... First time I got a Kirby, second time I got the Lasko window fan, third time I got this!

  • sweet fan dude, hopefully you get some lakewoods from there, btw when is this sale once a month?

  • what sale?

  • the place you got this fan at. thats what i meant

  • oh OK, well its about 2 and 1/2 hours away so...self explanatory

  • Very nice! Those 7 blade Hunters have a unique sound to 'em.

To oil your fan, you'll need to take the motor apart to get at the oil retaining felt. They are on the inside behind slotted areas and surround the bearings.

Give the felt a good soak with a non-detergent oil and prior to reassembling, put a few drops of oil on the shaft as you reassemble the motor. After reassembly, use a plastic hammer or screwdriver handle and tap the shaft on all four sides to align the bearings.

  • Crap! That's what I have to do to the lasko...and I hate it...

  • FAKE!

  • Hi. Just so you know, I have that fan you are wanting and also, those motors don't have oil ports from what I can tell.

  • We had the green one you are looking for when I was a kid in the 70's. Me and my brother got into BIG BIG trouble for taking it apart to see now it worked, and destroying it in the process!

  • Hey, I've seen a few like that one except they all were EXL brand.

  • Sorry to be the bearer of bad news about oiling the fan. Look on the bright side though, you won't have to re-lube it for many years.
