Sybic = Synchrone Bicourant
Astrid= Asyncrone Tricourant
Diferent engines, Astrides are able to work under 3KV, 1.5KV and 25KV, sybics are not prepared for 3KV.
The 30 builded astrides where meant to be built as sybics but the SNCF changed the contract, and instead of buyng the last 30 sybics of the contract, they bought 30 astrides
