i discovered this too by myself earlier than you did in single player a long time ago, when GTA SA was launched, @'05 or the beginning of '06.

now, i fly for miles and stunt in reverse for long distances. and landing in reverse.

also, i can fly every single airplane in GTA SA including RC one.
