I love how Maine Coons tend to sound more like birds than like cats XD

NOT a Maine coon cat
-
Awww, such a sweet kitty.
-
Looks just like my cat! Way different meow, though. Beautiful.

Your Jessie sounds exactly like my rescue who survived Hurricane Katrina. I've owned cats all my life - there is no cat that sounds like that. Jessie's a very lucky kitty to have found such a loving home.

@miniunpong Oh yes and they lose their muzzle shape and ear tufts in the summer, too? This isn't the least bit a Maine Coon in any regard.
-
@Clydene No they DON'T. The M is simply part of tabby markings that can appear on cats of any breed as well as cats of no breed - like this one. I know that idiot show Cats 101 said you "can tell the Maine Coon by the M on the forehead" but they were wrong. Maine Coons CAN have tabby markings but they're also solid, bicolor, tortie, torbie, smoke and though not to the breed standard, even pointed. Google MtNest Midnight Cowboy - solid black Maine Coon who was TICA's top coat in the world.
-
@LolitaEyes Not likely a mix since breeders tend to sell kittens altered and never allow crossbreeding. This cat is a blue domestic - a cat of no breed just like over 97% of all cats.

Hate to break it to you but this cat isn't the least bit a Maine Coon. It doesn't have the right muzzle shape to do one, it lacks t he ear tufts and also doesn't have a long enough coat to be a Maine Coon. Why on earth would you think it is one?

@vokey01 she might have a bit of Korat in her. I have a Korat named Angel and that cat's head kinda looks like her!!! pretty cat!!

Maine Coon or not, she's beautiful!
glad so many people are enjoying watching my little jesse. i doubt she's a "real" maine coon--since i adopted her from a shelter--but she definitely has numerous maine coon traits. i love her.
