great fishing guys - the fish are powerful enough wo help from that current. you guys need something at least 8' and a reel that holds 300 yds of 50lb braid - would help land more. nice work though guys... 2 thumbs up!!

@bloodknot101 Thanks Skip yea the current there is always changing so it makes it even harder to land a salmon, and im gonna buy a rod and reel in a few days for them, there should be more videos this weekend, THANKS FOR WATCHING.....Kurt

Why don't you guys use casting equip? Probably could get em out of the structures with the fight

@j0j0barz33 Yea man i know the rod im using is not good for salmon plus its way to small, im gonna buy a salmon rod in a few days, even with the right gear your not gonna stop that fish when its wants to go, they are nothing but power, ohh yea about pike, where are you fishing.

@crazydux9 Yea so true, i've been spooled by salmon gill fishing with spoons. I'm fishing Northern IL so similar temps to Southern Canada. The lakes that hold quality pike are reaaaally clear, alot of drop offs, rocks, and vegetation
