CTS-EP14 RockBand Drums in GarageBand

How to set up the RockBand drum kit for the Xbox360 to work with GarageBand. It will act as a basic Midi Controller through Musical Typing. I have used it to trigger drums kits but you could use it to trigger other things. There are 2 small pieces of software needed to make it work. I have links on my site www.creativitytospare.com

it won't let me open the gamepad thing on my Macbook

It shows up as a Control Preference Pane - You find those under System Preferences. Click on the Apple in the top left corner and select System Preferences - then you should see it if you installed it.

is there ever going to be a latency problem if you use it with logic 8?

There will be latency based on the buffer i/o settings in logic, if those are fairly low it should be pretty good (usable). One note the first time you start to use the Caps Lock keyboard in Logic it will be slow if you press play or record it will suddenly get much better - the same thing with Garageband with the musical typing - it seems to be wondering if you are serious about using this to record and straightens out.

I downloaded all of the software and I open the 360 controllers on my system preferences and it says that no device is found. My drums are connected. What is wrong?

downloaded the drives, when i plug in drums they do not turn on same thing with a regular controller? please help

I believe I am running on snow leopard

When I connect the xbox 360 drum set, the xbox light will turn on and almost immediately turn off. After that I check to see if its recognized by the 360 controller driver, junXion, or GamePad Companion and no luck

If someone could me out that'd be awesome!

i have all of your problems the xbox button flashes for 1 sec then goes away no deveices found what the heack :(

Im having the same problem as a lot of other people in this commentary. I have installed the software twice, on two different macs but the software is still not connecting with the plugged in drums. The Xbox button on the drumset is blinking rather then the firm light you would expect. Everyone is talking about this problems in forums on the Internet but does any one got a fix for it?
