Our crowd-funding campaign for SWINE was featured in the SCV News Break on the front of hometownstation.com.

SWINE began in 2009 as a collaboration between several friends who attended film school together over ten years ago. The filmmakers, who all work regular day jobs, enjoyed reuniting to work together in a creative capacity. We pooled our resources and called in favors to get the project off the ground. Countless hours were dedicated to increasing the production value of our low budget film, from finding incredible locations to creating custom weapons and costumes.

The original short film was shot over two weekends using actors that we have previously worked with. Costing less than $5000 in cash and in-kind donations, SWINE was a huge success amongst the cast and crew.

We decided to begin pre-production on two more SWINE chapters to create an exciting 45-minute series. A post-apocalyptic war story about a rebel faction on the brink of destroying themselves from within; the trilogy focuses on the perspectives of three main characters, one film for each. We shot the two additional films in 2010 calling on more actors from previous projects, as well as casting fresh talent. New locations were explored and new costumes and weapons were crafted. Viewers can't believe we shot the existing 45 minutes for under $15,000 in cash from the producers and in-kind donations.

Our goal is to turn SWINE into a feature-length adventure!

For the remainder of our budget we are dependent on the support of our friends, family, and other generous contributors. To thank you, we're offering some exciting rewards (like hand-crafted prop weapons, autographed posters, invitations to our exclusive premiere and a role in the film). We have been blessed to have received donations from family and friends, including the dedication from our cast and crew who have worked unpaid from day one.

The purpose of this campaign is to raise enough funds to complete three additional short films. We realize that there is a possibility we may not reach our fundraising goal; but we intend to use every penny towards our project. If necessary, we will continue to fundraise while filming the next chapter(s) of SWINE until our financial goals are met. We encourage you to follow us on Facebook for updates on the film and our cast and crew. Please share SWINE with your friends!
