@MrsCaptJack Very nice response to my post. I stand corrected on at least two points, but I'm still gonna think this was the sexiest belly dance I ever saw. It was most pleasant chatting with you, Hope we can remain on friendly terms. P.S. Your right, her ab work was outstanding!!!!!

@Razorback2088 ~ I continued watching because as I stated in my original post, I thought her ab work was fabulous. I did NOT say she was trying to sell herself. I said her hands were to close to her body. Most of us that began dancing in the early 80's were taught that when a person touches themselves during a performance that it can mean they are for sale. As with all Middle Eastern dance forms, there are many varying meanings and interpretations.

@MrsCaptJack No offense intended, but if you were uncomfortable watching this dancers arm and hand gestures, why did you keep watching? I did not have the impression she was trying to sell herself, I did however, think she was trying to please and entertain her audience which she did very nicely. I'm not an expert on the art of belly dancing, I know what I like looking at.

Outstanding belly dancing!!! Belly rolls and flutters, hip rolls, arm and hand gestures are the sexiest I've ever seen. Even the facial expressions seem to denote pure enjoyment. Hope this dancer makes a lot more videos.

@louisxiiii ~ Most teachers that have studied Middle Eastern dance for any length of time will tell you this. I was told this by my first teacher in the 80's and consistently since then. It can be considered an advertisement to put your palm on any part of your body, especially your chest and hips. There are a few folkloric exceptions for hand gestures, but many dancers don't seem to be taught this anymore.

@MrsCaptJack I have not heard about it being bad to touch yourself, although there are a lot of things I haven't learned yet, so I won't disagree with you on that matter. Having said that, however, I think her hands are the best I've ever seen in terms of expressiveness and elegance.
