ADL Clipsal 500 Hot Lap Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera

Here is the video from my prize I won at this years Adelaide Clipsal 500.

I won a hot lap in one of the vehicles of the Murray Walker Extreme Machines Exhibition. Unfortunately we didn't get to chose which car we got to ride in, it was a random draw between myself and about 6 other people.

There were 12 vehicles in total, including the 7.9l quad-turbo W16 Bugatti Veyron. All 1001hp - 407.0km/h of it.

I rode shotgun in the Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera. 530hp and a top speed of 315km/h. Very nice. A mix of dark chocolate suede, carbon fiber, leather and brushed alloy in the cabin, tv/dvd etc and paddle shift gearbox. Exterior was the grey/gun metal metalic with carbon fiber wing and mirrors.

We did a total of 3 laps, reaching a top speed of around 205km/h down Brock Straight. It's a relatively short street circut and I recon we could have gone faster but Andrew, my driver, in his experience and wisdom, slowed down for turn 8 a little more than was needed. I would have stayed on the loud peddal a bit longer, and more than likely swapped paint with the wall.

The Clipsal is finished already for 2010! But the entry form was in the news paper back when I won this. In The Advertiser. So next year look for it in the paper or something?

@driftcrazy150 The entry form was in the Advertiser in the months leading to the Clipsal. I dont know that they do this hot lap anymore. Last years one in 2009 was pretty slow. I was lucky in getting the first year where they smashed alot of these cars lol. They've toned it down as a result.

earlier today i was lucky enough to drive a Gallardo 2011 model around Mallala race track.

best thing on four wheels i have ever driven. the noise, the smell, the grip, the pure brute force that hurts you but brings you pure ecstasy.

now everything else I drive is just fucking shit. hahaha

I forgot to add, the guy driving was Andrew. I believe it is the Andrew Smith who owns the Melbourne Showroom where the Lambos were from. He was also a driver for the Crazy John Lambo as well as I think being the head of Lamborghini Australia.
