Nice 1990 ZR-1 looking to buy one like that, I currently own an 1987 with 4+3 trans want to add ZR-1 to my collection.

you need new accuators, not a hard repair. I just bought a 1990 ZR1 with 12k miles on it. aall original. Still has tires from 1990. had same issue. bought new accuators and they work now.

man no doubt about it. i hope GM designs a new OHC engine.

@Velocity329 I used to bang shift mine all the time, the transmissions by zf are actually pretty stout

i have a mint 90. red / black. have you had issues with the headlights not working properly? vacuum issues? if so...how did you repair. thanks.jim

Still gets my vote for best engine ever made. Bummer about the 1-2 syncros. The out of the car shot sounded fabulous!! Nice post.

Hey, the mufflers looked stock (hard to tell though). Was there any aftermarket stuff on the exh system, has a nice crack to it at WOT. Thanks

That's the rev limiter making the noise...not a mis-shift at third....car had long tube headers.
