@aerodynamic1 Yes being advanced is one way to see it. How about like in King Kong, what Carl Denham tells Ann Darrow while doing a test film of her. Say's start by looking normally around, then suddenly you are taken in by something behind you that is so big it startles you. You keep looking up & up. You finally see it Ann, but fear has made you frozen. You can't move. Can't scream. Ann, if only you can cover your eyes & Scream!!!

don't talk shit..i have seen that space ship for real...it wasn't a strainer it was in my bag yard last year...and the robots looked just like that so there!!!!

Actually I think if an alien spaceship ever lands on Earth, our official greeter should be someone who's totally expendable -- like Kim Kardashian, for example. Why in the world is that woman famous?
And the spacecraft in this dull, talky British flick is just as silly-looking as the robot, especially when it's shown in flight. It looks like a combination of a sink strainer and part of a clutch assembly.

Or they think, "They're so advanced. They MUST be here in peace." I think Jerry Springer should be Earth's official greeter. This way, if they aren't friendly, we only lose the Springer Show.
