I read that one of the big influences on the Pillows is Bob Marley and reggae, and you can clearly hear reggae in some Pillows songs like this one. Just adds to their awesomeness.

it's mainly Manabe that's influenced by Bob Marley. He's such a fan of Marley's that he has his own reggae solo project called Nine Miles, which is the name of the city Bob Marley's from.
