  • OK, I just listened to parts of your video again, and now my impression is that you believe gentiles have been redeemed all along, i.e. before Christ's coming, or at least that works never saved. (I'm still not totally sure what you believe actually). Rom. 11:6 listed below "no longer by works," That seems to be a pretty clear indication that it was once indeed by works. In any case, numerous passages in the NT, make clear that there has been a significant change.

  • SuperZapRowsdower,

Thank you for both your comments. I am not Jewish but I study Judaism. My belief system would fall into a Messianic worldview. I lean toward the Orthodox Jewish viewpoint as well. I believe that salvation is not by works just as the Jews believe that God is merciful and will save by grace alone. The "law" or rather "works of the law" are legalism.

Let me put it this way: Law does not equal legalism. Legalism is a perversion of the Law. True Torah is Grace filled.

  • You can put it any way you like, but how do you reason away the clear shift that takes place throughout the New Testament, and as is represented strongly in Rom. 11?

  • SuperZapRowsdower,

I understand where your coming from.

    Peace be with you.

  • So you can't defend your position? Perhaps then, you should not post videos with inaccurate information that may cause many to be mislead. What you say in this video is clearly wrong, but many will see it who do not have proper knowledge of the Bible and will believe it. I encourage you to read the New Testament to better understand God's relation to us.

  • SuperZapRowsdower,

I can defend my position but the comments section of this video is not adequate enough for the task. Plus I don't really have the time right now. I understand YOUR position and where you are comming from but I do not agree with the interpretation.

I'll tell you what. Send me a PM and let me know what questions you would like me to address in great detail and I'll do my next video on them.

    Peace.

  • @SuperZapRowsdower You actually think there is a clash between being Jewish and believing in the New Covenant (messianic writings)?

  • So wait, you are Jewish, but you believe in the New Testament? Don't those clash quite a bit? How do you reconcile the numerous passages that state salvation is not by works, including the ones from Romans 11 which your video mentions?

    Rom. 11 : 5,6

So too, at the present time there is a remnant chosen by grace. And if by grace, then it is no longer by works; if it were, grace would no longer be grace. (NIV)

The remnant in verse 5 is in reference to Israel.

  • megashira218,

Thanks for your comment. Another score for this vid.

    Peace to you.
