The photographer Jurgen Schadeberg captured a revolution. His images defined the first Black Magazine: 'Drum', and his life became the subject for a Hollywood Film. As we follow the artist back to South Africa, his story says as much about the role of the artist, as it does about South Africa's troubled past and uneasy climate today.

@YTwatcher38 They think that the solution to racial strife is to force people to integrate and form a mixed raceless society (the Jewish president of France is trying to do this right now). This is problematic since there are people who actually don't want their race to be extinguished or altered. The solution is separation, one race for one nation/continent... that is how it has been for millenia. You can not mess with the natural order of things and expect a utopia.

@YTwatcher38 most magazines are very liberal, and not even owned by Whites. They are owned by Jews who promote black men with white women (bad for both races) and deteriorate the mind into becoming a pop-culture consumerist zombie. They want white people to buy them.... but it is to indoctrinate them. Black magazines are fine, as long as strictly white magazines are fine too (which according to the media they are not).

@YTwatcher38 We'll have to agree to disagree. I still don't see these "white geared" magazines all over the world. I don't read magazine (but I still see the covers) but I do know that the content in most of them is filth. And even if they were geared to Whites, it is to brainwash them, as most of these magazines have utter contempt for the sovereignty of any race. I don't want any African orientated magazine to disappear, all races need to respect themselves. It is just that in...........

@zlzgrom86 you don't need a magazine called "ivory". That image is projected all over the planet everyday. If I can't see an image of myself that I can relate to, I have to create one. That's how you get the "black" magazines. There not racist, they're filling a gap that mainstream society doesn't because mainstream society is geared towards Europeans.

@YTwatcher38 ..on front and there were some extremely liberal organizations there were outright shocked and complained. I believe that no one group of people is superior or inferior or any crap like that, but I do believe that no one group should be put in jeopardy for the benefit of another.  Example: There is the NAACP, NSBE, and other such organizations that are specifically African. These groups get much funding through various sources, yet it is taboo for European people to parallel this.

@YTwatcher38 ...that caters to anyone and everyone: business, computing, movies and TV. But then on the same shelves there are Ebony magazine and even saw a "Black Women Magazine". I guarantee you that people would be fine with magazines specifically for Hispanics, Jews, Africans, Indians, [insert other race].... but would be absolutely horrified to see an "Ivory" or other European peoples targeted magazine. There was a recent Vanity Fair mag that had all European people on front.............

@YTwatcher38 They are mainly celebrities of the Western world, that is why. I don't expect a normal business or fashion magazine sold in Zimbabwe, India, China, Mexico, ect... to have people in them that are not from those places. The magazines you are referring to are not explicitly targeted at the ones of European race, but just business, fashion, news. Whatever fits the bill of the magazine gets put in. What I see in the magazine sections of stores are normal stuff that caters to.........
