@SuperAngelblaze Yeah the British were not doing enough to destroy the city or kill enough people so God stepped in to help. If it was God why wait until the British had beaten the cities defenders?

The storm killed more Americans who had fled the city & were with out shelter then British who could shelter in abandoned homes.

For the people of Washington the storm was a nasty finish to a really bad day.

@agent1442 If you are referring to the riots in Baltimore then they were PRO war riots. A Federalist News paper condemned the war. Rather then mess around with sedition laws supporters of Madison & the War Hawks gathered together a large number of thugs & attacked the Newspaper editor in his home.

Then while in protective custody they attacked him again because he had complained about the attack.

Love it or leave it, there were no hippies in 1812 just Indians & you know what happened to them.
