@SuteUp Yes they can take a hike. I took my Son to a competition with me once and entered him. You should have heard the rumblings from the back on that day. Until they seen him go through a competition mat with my Hanwei Tori. :-)

@wizzbangtg i get people running their mouth how my son shouldnt be swinging it, hes gonna get cut, thus and so, Im like I am supervising my son y your own bidness,lol my weight and all that is a factor, so they say they can stick it where the sun dont shine, I dont have to be a practitioner of the iiado art to swing a sword.

@SuteUp True enough. Your weight is factor? Have you seen Tony Alverez? That's a big man!

Training does help but there is no law saying you have to be a Battojustu or Iaito practitioner to swing a sword. All that is required is the love and respect for the sword. When it comes to younger ones supervision and respect is what matters most. It can be a lot of fun and very rewarding to practice with your Son. Enjoy.

dont listen to them. He seems like he knows what hes doing, as much as his body can allow at his height. I've been swinging swords around since I was 5. Only time I've been cut was when polishing my blade. And that shit really hurts. Safety first, nice cutting!

@wizzbangtg thanks for that kind word always had an interest in cutting things, up until last year me and my son started getting into it.

Thank you Haku330. We do use tatami and it is much pricier than water bottles. There are some videos of us (mostly my Son and I) cutting tatami on my channel. Please check them out and let me know what you think.
