This is the song that made me want to write music, I was only a kid at the time (about 9) and I wanted the synth on the cover, 20 odd years later and I have had a few releases, does anyone know what that synth is on the cover though? from the vid it looks a bit like a juno 2, but could be mistaken.

Actually, Wilder had two hits, if you count "Kid's All-American," which didn't go as high as "Break My Stride," but still charted all the same. But yeah, Howard Jones has the longevity that Wilder didn't, even if he hasn't charted in a while.

This is probably my favorite version of "New Song." I always thought the original version was a little over-produced. The stripped-down approach works better for me.
