GOES-O, the latest Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite, soared into space today after launch from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Fla. The weather satellite lifted off at 6:51 p.m. EDT on a United Launch Alliance Delta IV rocket. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administrations GOES-O satellite will improve weather forecasting and monitor environmental events around the world.
ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC LAUNCH!!!!!!!!!!!
This is the Bird that we should be developing for ISS Cargo Runs and CEV EO Ops. It's about the size and power of the old Saturn 1B and there IS a desperate need for HLV's.
