My best friend (Tom Flaig) and I spent 3 weeks, in June 1967, living in a tent near the corner of Haight & Asbury. We were 20 years old & believed a cultural revolution was taking place north of our SoCal homes, so off we went in my '57 Chevy with everything we owned. I wanted to be a part of it but when we arrived we realized it was, indeed, something else. Not enough characters here to explain what was really happening up there was but our young hearts were in the right place.
