How does one get into this field? I'm 19 in college and more than ready to get started.

@MrRenaissance55 Good day.......well to get started - look up on the Internet your area.....lot's of gold forums and information........ounce you find area's closest to you then start with a pan and see if you like it......then when the fever is set in you can move up to better equipment and claims.......lot's of clubs out there as well....you may want to start there as well........pick up tips and get on to the gold.

Is this from a claim? Did you stake a claim there or just showed up and starting panning?

@pkrska From my claims.......some areas are open to prospect but for the
most part - ground is open because it's only worth panning on.
