To object to God's eternal existence you ask, "How would he breathe!?" This is just funny. You obviously don't understand what Mr. Piper means when he speaks about what or who God is. You seem to have no conception at all of these concepts like life, the spirit, or the divine, which you argue about.

I can understand that you might disagree with these positions, but what I cannot understand is how you refuse to understand them, but still try and speak with authority on them in a public manner.

I was just pointing out how theists expect their god to behave in a lifelike manner(possessing memory, emotions, ect.) and be somehow magically exempt from all the various specifications life has to go through to be considered life. But you're right-I shouldn't try to explain someone else's fantasies with logic. That's impossible.

Your comments made no sense. First you're talking about God so if there is a God then he is life in the spirit sense. Atheism is a world of view even if you don't gather each week to practice it. The belief there is no God and the belief that there is a God are both acts of faith. either God was there in the beginning or energy and matter caused it all to happen. Since energy cannot be created nor destroyed then it's creation or beginning is a mystery

What part of life is not physical??? I'm not talking about the feelings you get after huffing your Bible, I'm talking about living things which must go through processes to be considered living things. Since life is material then God =/= life, and it couldn't possibly exist before matter did. No, Atheism is not a world view because it has no unifying dogma. If energy cannot be created or destroyed, then the logical assumption would be that it was never created in the first place.

there is more reason to believe in a God and creator because of the entire bible!!Do you have anything that says there is no God? I would rather believe in the bible because it is the word of God breathed to life! Genesis 1:1in the begging God created the heavens and earth,what kind of scripture do you read that dines this? maybe you should rely on God and scripture and not the views of this world and your own understanding! maybe try and read Genesis, and ask God to help you understand it

you need to read the Bible, you are not understanding what John Piper is trying to say! you were created by a God who loves you so much that he gave his so up to die for you! For example when you look at people around the world everyone looks different, no one is alike! that cant come form some sort of matter!!! you are relying on you own understanding and not trusting in God! also just look at the creations of our world and the universe!! its hard to look at it and not believe in a creator!!
