Sounds like a classic case of youtube playing stupid little games. I made about 5 back up channels just for issues like this. Anyway, I will check this channel from now on for updates.

inbox, account settings, check settings. Check that somewhere there yt hasn't "oopsed" a change from public to private for the channel itself ... over riding the individual upload vid choice of private vs public.
Over the weekend my channel went from 'public' to 'private' - and hell - I don't even put up any uploads. Figured stupid yt fluke. After watching your vid makes me wonder what's up - as noticed comments of email notifications not happening this past wkend either.
