Fred Hampton (August 30, 1948 -- December 4, 1969) was an African-American activist and deputy chairman of the Illinois chapter of the Black Panther Party (BPP). He was killed as he lay in bed in his apartment by a tactical unit of the Cook County, Illinois State's Attorney's Office (SAO), in conjunction with the Chicago Police Department (CPD) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). The Murder of Fred Hampton is a 1971 documentary film which began with the intention of portraying Fred Hampton, and the Illinois Black Panther Party. During the production of the film, Hampton was killed by the Chicago Police Department.

The black panther political party was a serious threat to the established elite.

Hence they used the police state to murder the leaders.

By murdering the leaders of the movement, along with flooding the black neighborhoods with cheap and addictive drugs (crack), the black panther party was destroyed and ended up as a small footnote in American history.

The truth is, the Black Panther Party was one of the greatest political movements in American history.

I'm very proud of these men and women standing up for their rights! It almost makes me cry, seeing the sacrifice, the passion and the love they had for their people. But sadly I don't see this uplifting and honourable state of mind any more. Nowadays it's the pimp, the gangster, the rapper who they look up to and they only have money on their mind! Deaf and blind.
