http://www.tennismindgame.com/advanced-tennis-backhand.html The basic foundation of an advanced tennis backhand is hitting the ball without much spin, driving through without much spin and keeping a very simple follow-through. The alley helps the player by giving him visual reference of a line along which he needs to move the racquet.

  • Maybe you should head over to Bollettieri's and tell the coaches that their drills suck and that you know better. ;)

  • This is a good drill, i like it and will try it with some of my pupils . gj .

  • "The alley helps the player by giving him visual reference of a line along which he needs to move the racquet."

just giving that advice will give them crapy backhand. they'll hold motion, not follow through and not focus on primary aims when playing line along : feet and hips positionning, (and if one hand played : opposite hand motion to get balance)
