uk hardcore goes on and on with bttr basslines an melodys it will nvr git old HARDCORE 4 LIFE

and @ marvin0178, old skool hardcore predated hardcore (like gabber, dutch rotterdam, speedcore, etc etc)
THEY are all darker harder offshoots from the original old skool stuff.
and yeah, round early 2000's, uk hardcore really started pulling from euro-trancy producing, but its since evolved from there

uk hardcore not being happy hardcore can be debateable...
you will very uncommonly have the same kind of simple stabs and riffs that hallmarked HAPPY hardcore (did you notice for a while they sometimes didnt even use baselines? just hard kicks with epic cheese stab lines)
due to progression in producing quality and style, HHC of old, in a new track, is only a throwback.
however, this is what HHC has evolved in to. pulls a lot from cheesy trance, jungle, but yet progressive...
