I would have loved to have known Buddy personally to tell him what an impact he had on my own music...I Love Him...God Bless You Buddy...

It's such a shame that Buddy was taken from us so young.I have been to Lubbock and to the Buddy Holly centre, and to his grave. The people of Lubbock were so welcoming,i had a great time there. When we lost Buddy,Don McClean was right "The music died".

damn this song sounds like it came out in the late 60s at least....buddy was ahead of his time, no wonder he was the main inspiration for The Beatles

Was he the one that got stuck behind to wait for the train while Richie Valens got the airplane ride that killed him???? In La Bamba?

@UnofficialGio - No, Buddy was on the plane, in fact it was him who chartered it. Waylon Jennigs stayed behind after giving his seat up to J.P. Richardson, known as The Big Bopper.

The first recorded version of "Love Is Strange" was performed by Bo Diddley, who recorded his version on May 24, 1956 with Jody Williams on lead guitar. This version was not released until its appearance on I'm a Man: The Chess Masters, 1955-1958 in 2007.Mickey & Sylvia's version was recorded several months later on October 17, 1956.
