My gerbil did this for about a minute straight after he heard a titmouse chirp outside my window. :)

Gerbils are drumming when they sense danger, when they drumming they say there gerbil friends that "danger is coming".

HE's just scared by:a sound,sudden movement,or see's anything that he thinks will attack him;he's just warning any gerbils nearby to be cautious.

@shredder710 nope, no seizure. He was just startled either by a sound, shadow or quick movement and is warning any other gerbils :)
