@dhomuniqe Oh!!! The authority speaks!! You should be ashamed at yourself for NOT allowing people to post their opinions without adding comments from the peanut gallery. People like you should not be allowed to speak their ming freely. Your a lame dog. Keep your eyes on the road and of me you wet fart.

@srfrr you should be ashamed of yourself.

it says depersonalised people are more responsive to startling stimuli yet also less emotionally reactive etc anyways just thought i'd post it cos it helped me a bit because now i can sort of expect things related to social anxiety happening and it just made it a little easier to deal with just knowing it's something in my brain, even though social rejection and stuff still does really hurt i sort of know why (or at least think i do/whatever, i probably overthink about the way i think tho lol)
Hello,
my name is shameeah im 20 yrs old.
and i've had depersonalization and derealization for a yr now.
im dealing with it 24/7 it's not something pleasant to go, but it is what it is.

@BlasianDoll20 Hi Shameeah. Yeah, it certainly isn't a pleasant thing to go through. Even though it's been a while since I made this video, I still struggle with my dp, but I have found that it gets better when I meditate or focus on strong mental imagery, even for just a few minutes. But I hope you can find some solutions to getting better with your dp/dr.

so im guessing you feel isolated. When did this start, and was it gradual or was it sudden.

A gradual thing that started some time in the beginning months of 2004. Ironically, that was the semester I took leave of college and during that time I wasn't working or going to school and I just stayed inside all day nearly everyday; watching hours of television. Perhaps watching too much tv during that time has caused me to become so disconnected from reality? Who knows.

do you ever have weird visual sensations, for example some things look really small or you feel big compared to the room around you? What about close people in your life do you ever think like "who are these people"
daneo4 4 years ago
Yes! Sometimes I find myself wondering who my own family members are. I mean, of course I know who they are, but I start to think, 'who are they? What are they?' Strange thoughts like that cross my mind alot. And as far as weird visual sensations go, I just feel as if I'm not real at all, like I'm a dream character in someone else's mind and the world around me is just an illusion.
