  • Back in the mid-90's (1995-1996ish) at age 6-7 I used to go to an arcade called "Tilt!" at the Orlando Fashion Square Mall in Orlando, FL to play this game whenever we drove up there to visit my grandparents... what fun.

I tried playing it on MAME just now and the controls are sluggish and delayed, I have to turn a half-second ahead, I don't remember it being that delayed now, is it?

  • Maybe its not running at full speed? Or It could be the analog settings which you can modify.

  • I loved this arcade game, the cabinet design it had was amazing, and the gameplay was addictive as hell.

  • STUN Runner was one of my favorite arcade games. I wish they would bring this game to Xbox with updated graphics & maybe even add some newer levels. I was so good at this game at my local arcade that I consistantly got to the final level & if I remember right there was a special point in the game that when you crossed it you won a STUN Runner T-Shirt. But I think the T-Shirt offer was only good for maybe the1st 6 months to a year after the game originally came out.

  • They should have ported this to a home console like SNES, i mean the Super FX capabilities of the Super Nintendo could have possibly gotten this released on a proper home console in the early 90s.

  • Atari : always inovating ! quality 3d graphics in 1989 !

  • @janX9 Sounds like Galaxy Force from Sega...

  • @janX9 Yes my friend it was Galaxy Force 2.

    Pretty damn good game too.

  • HELP! I'm trying to remember the name of a flying game from the early to mid 90's.

The "Cabinet" was a sit down cockpit type thing with dark grey roll bars around it. It was pretty big and sat on a platform as I recall The game moved pretty much in all directions. I think you flew with two aviation styled joysticks and the game took place in space I think.

Sorry I don't remember much about it, even though it was a very cool game. I do recall flying through some tunnels though

    Anyone know it?

  • What a great game this was!!! SO Addictive!

  • @MattTheSaiyan I do, sounds groovy, my favorite part about this is it seems the frame rat is dang 60 fps :D

  • The arcade down the street still has this arcade machine. LOVE. IT.

  • I play this, Taxi pinball, Paperboy, Road Blaster, Combatatribes, and TMNT videos simultaneously and it sounds like I'm right back in the arcade kick'n '92.
