It's a Mk3, but I know the problem. ;-) My dad owned a Toyota Camry once, it had leaky air vents.
Quite clever of Fiat to do that, it probable saved a lot of batteries. A Golf III only leave the parkinglights on when turning the ignition off. When I turn the turning signal to one site, the parkinglights will only shine on that side. Same with my brother's Audi, handy when parked along the side of a road in the evening.

@2idiot4u If it's a golf Mk4, check the floor of the luggage space. It might be wet due to leaky air vents in the back, (rubber flaps) just behind the wheel arches, on the inside. It's senseless to mention one good detail about a car, and to make it sound like that detail represents the entire car, or even a coutry. Not a single type of car is "perfect".
Did you know that the headlights of a Fiat automatically turn off when you switch off the ignition? Italian engineering.. See what I mean?

My car can't be 're-started' when the engine is already running, the key just won't turn. Just funny someone thought of that developing the car.
V-Dub, German engineering! ;-)

I love the sound of old engines clattering. It actually sounds like it is doing something. Nowadays my dad sometimes forgets if he actually turned the engine on, and he turns the key and gets the bad noise that you get when you try and start a car already started...
