I was just thinking about this special 2 days ago and when I favorited the Brian Froud Fairies animated special I thought," Maybe you tube has the Pogo Birthday special." and I was right! Mgm should sell this again on dvd with commentary by June Foray and Philip Roman like on the "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" dvd! Thanks for uploading this! Brings back memories of hand drawn prime time animated specials!

I don't know about the DVD, but I have the comic book version. It's really good, especially since it discusses pollution and how everyone is guilty of it. It even makes a joke about the expression 'a pig'. One pig (as in the animal) is called a pig (as in the insult) because he was polluting the air, but he retorts that others have already polluted the ground and water and so everyone is 'a pig'.
