Camden Fort, Crosshaven, Co. Cork. (Fort Meagher)

This video is slightly outta the ordinary for me, I dont expect many people to enjoy it, unless you've been here or have interest in these kind of places. I've grown up here year after year so this vid is kinda personal to me, my home away from home!.. Kayak'd in at the beginning of the Summer (you can see I didnt exactly hide the kayak) and randomly started to record. It was really windy and looking back at it now i wish i'd a tripod. But im very happy with the outcome and hope some people agree.
I havent even begun to scratch the surface of Camden Fort, there is much much more to be seen. I hope I organise to try and cover a lot more.

(Unfortunately I'd had trouble with Compression)

Music: Jason Murphy / Davie Andrew

  • Has this place been opened up to the public as a heritage centre recently?

  • @clonmultcity it was open during the summer for a small bit to show what has been renovated as well as some gallery work for paintings and photographs, even a bit of acting out some history there. I'm sure it'll be open again someday - the Rescue Camden group are doing a brill job and hopefully will be able to do more and more!

  • Anyone any ideas on where i could find the music used in this video. i love it. it certainly complements the video.Looking now at the once used buildings and older areas of tyhe grounds. Words couldnt speak it the way music can. Thanks

  • @MrTommyTurk thanks very much for the comments, the music was composed by my brother and my friend, they did a great job for what I asked them to do.

  • Great photography on this video. Brought back many memories. Many thanks and well done.

  • Don't you just love how YouTube takes all the backlinks from Facebook but refuses to allo traffic in the other direction.

Wonder who will take over from YouTube? If they just work on that one thing they will have a winner; go for it kids.

  • Really nice vid of the Fort 'before' renovation. Check out the changes on the Facebook page. Its called Fort Camden so should turn up easily in search

Donnacha; Military History/Gemealogy Ireland, milgenire also on FB

  • @damiensmurf great job indeed,to all concerned. Fair play

  • @MrTommyTurk I created these specifically for youtube so they shouldnt be anywhere else but I've found them linked to other places in the past. If you've any questions feel free to ask
