Here we go again! This set covers the Forest Area, Ebisumaru's scenes. This installment contains the following:

Scene 6: Rivals from the Start (NOTE: Everybody knows what a tanuki is, right? Also, botamochi is...well, look it up on Wikipedia or Google Image if you're really curious. I'll explain everything later.)
Scene 7: Return of the Reflection Shuriken (NOTE: I've got a feeling I messed this one up.)
Scene 8: Eggs + Bombs = ??? (EDIT: It seems I might've gotten something wrong here. Seppukumaru's the only one with a bomb in his body.)

Still getting used to the new program, though I am starting to become more familiar with it. Subtitles are all screwed up because of length restrictions, and also because of a lack of memory space on my comp. I apologize, but I'm only willing to put up with so much fragmentation.

Ebisumaru scenes are always tough because of his dialect. This was no exception. Hopefully, I at least got close to accurate.

Please, please, PLEASE leave feedback! I need to know that more than two or three people are taking an active interest in this project. It's extremely discouraging if I do this and it seems like nobody cares. Sorry if I sound like I'm ranting for no good reason, but feedback will help this thing get done in a faster and more efficient manner. Thank you for your time.

EDIT: The blog's been brought up to date: http://goemoninenglish.blogspot.com/ Go and read the ravings of this crazy lunatic, if you dare.

  • i think tanuki means raccoon in Japanese(well, there was a raccoon suit in SMB3 called the tanooki suit, so it probably means raccoon).

  • Not quite. "Araiguma", or simply "rakuun", is raccoon in Japanese. A tanuki is a raccoon dog, which is a completely separate animal. And yes, the tanooki suit in SMB3 is based on the raccoon dog, not the raccoon.

  • Kuroko the referee! LOL awesome!

    Wish they translated this...

  • Yeah, I do too...It would be so much more reliable than my crappy fan translation.

  • Thanks for making these. I can finally appreciate this game's scenes. I loved "Legend Of the Mystical Ninja" and want desparately to play GG2-4 for the Super Famicom. Too bad they will never actually be translated... = (

  • Yeah, too bad...It would be great if Konami suddenly decided to pick these games up again and release them overseas.

  • Isn't he like a girl in disguise or something?

  • Ah, so this is the origin of Obisumaru. I thought that when I first encountered him in GGA, he was a family relative of Ebisumaru judging from the almost identical name and appearence, though I do find it kinda odd Ebisumaru doesn't have any comeback dialogue at him there compared to this.

  • Uh, I mean GGA, of course.

  • Heh, that's right. Typical Obisumaru (exactly like in GG2). And not something we would readily expect from Ebisumaru.
