Syria is completly engaged in the insurgency approx. 100 citizens of syria that are performing insurgent acts against the Iraq government are captured or killed each year ATM in Iraq. We need to stem the tide. Ian Bach knows this why don't you!

@jaakobou: It is hard for westerners to think out of the box. Syria is a terrorist state and they want it to remain that way. They want to have a hand in controlling the countries of the middle east. Much of what they think is based upon their religious beliefs. The would like more land so they can have more control. Controlling is all they know. I am far from being knowledgeable about the middle east. Not enough space for me to comment on the State Department.
